SEO Copywriter
The Web Copywriter will be responsible for writing engaging, Search Engine Optimized and informational web copy, as well as editing and reviewing content. Writer must be able to conceptualize new ideas, while following a prescribed creative direction.
Develop web content that complies with existing branding and strategic vision.
Creates concepts, develops original copy, and edits materials for our external facing website, according to product strategy to ensure effectiveness.
Work closely with the SEO Director, Web Development, Graphic Design and Creative Services Team to produce effective web copy, as well as regularly update and edit existing content.
Actively look for and identify existing content in the website that can be optimized for tone, structure, links and/or relational content.
Write original articles, product reviews and blog posts for social media sites when assigned.
Performs other duties as assigned or apparent.
Education and/or experience A high level of understanding of Search Engine Optimized (SEO) copy.
Previous, related work experience in writing copy for websites, corporate marketing and/or advertising is required.
Professional copywriting experience in marketing/advertising preferred.
Experience creating unique and versatile content for articles, blogs, and banner ads.
Strong knowledge of the Web environment and best practices in communicating online.
A Bachelor's or Associates degree in English, Communications or related field is preferred, but not required.
Portfolio required showing writing examples
Professional/Personal Competencies Self-motivated, detail oriented and able to prioritize daily work efficiently.
Exceptional written, interpersonal and organizational skills.
Attention to detail and the ability to effectively multi-task in a deadline driven atmosphere.
Ability to clearly and effectively articulate thoughts and points.
High levels of integrity, autonomy, and self-motivation.
Proven ability to accommodate evolving responsibilities and last minute changes.
Being actively involved in our industry is a big plus.
